All of our physicians are board certified in Family Practice by The American Board of Family Practice. All of our Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants have completed advanced degrees, with an emphasis in Family Practice. For more information, please see our practitioners biographies.
We are proud to have added three new physicians to our staff: Dr. Kristi Hennan, Dr. David Lee & Dr. Tannaz Meisami.

Kristi Hennan, M.D
Dr. Hennan joined Newport Family Medicine in the summer of 2007. She received her undergraduate education from Wake Forest University then completed medical school at The University of Vermont College of Medicine prior to moving to Southern California to complete her residency in Family Medicine at Long Beach Memorial.

David Lee, M.D.
Dr. Lee, a recent transplant from the Northern California Kaiser system, is very happy to be joining Newport Family Medicine and it's well respected group of physicians. He completed his undergraduate education at UC Berkeley, medical school at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland Ohio and family medicine residency training program with Chief Resident year at UC Davis in Sacramento. After 2 years with the Kaiser Permanente group, he brings his diversified skill sets to our practice.

Tannaz Meisami, M.D.
Dr. Meisami is honored and very proud to join Newport Family Medicine in August of 2007.
Dr. Meisami is a Southern California native who was born in Long Beach, CA and was raised in Cerritos, CA. Her background is Iranian-American.
She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Physiological Science from the University of California, Los Angeles, where she stayed to pursue her Medical Degree at the UCLA School of Medicine.
