For a refill of your prescription, be sure to first contact your pharmacy at least 48 hours in advance.
Often your pharmacy may already have the authorization to refill your medications. If not, your pharmacy will contact our office with your request for a refill.
If your prescription is not refilled, it often means that either you need to follow up in the office as the doctor, nurse practitioner or physician assistant may need to see you, or blood tests are needed before continuing the medication.
Please be aware that prescriptions are not refilled after normal business hours.
If you are in need of a written refill prescription, it is important to call our office at least one week in advance for prescriptions filled at local pharmacies, and at least three weeks in advance if you utilize a "mail-in prescription service" through your health plan.
Be sure to provide us with the name, dosage, and quantity of your medication. We will call you when your prescription is ready for pick up. If you wish, we will mail your prescription if you provide us with a self addressed, stamped envelope. This policy is necessary to prevent prescriptions "lost" in the mail.
